
The Fusion is a car that Ford hopes it will be able to hang its corporate hat on for the next decade or so. So guarded is Ford about the technology in the Fusion Hybrid that the car has 119 unique patents, giving it the distinction of being the most pantented car in history. In EV mode, the Fusion Hybrid scoots at a top speed of 47 miles per hour, faster than any other hybrid vehicle in electric mode.
