A new PC game by indie developers Red Redemption challenges players to save the world.
A global strategy game for PC, Fate of the World is based on real economic and scientific data, showing the difficult choices we will all have to make to stop environmental collapse.
Red Redemption are also the creators of 2009’s wildly popular browser-based climate change game ‘Climate Challenge’. While Fate of the World shares some of the same concepts with its predecessor, it’s a much more ambitious undertaking this time.
In Fate of the World you’re in charge of the GEO, a global organization whose mission is to stop climate change, manage economic development and global energy resources, tackle political turmoil, feed a growing population, and save the polar bear… along with hundreds of other things.
BONUS! For today (March 3, 2011) only, Red Redemption are giving 100% of proceeds from game sales of Fate of the World to the TckTckTck campaign, a global alliance of organizations mobilizing civil society and galvanizing public opinion in support of climate change action.
Even if you can't afford it or aren't into PC strategy games, there are still ways to support the work TckTckTck does on behalf of our planet! Consider donating a Tweet, posting the offer on your Facebook page, or sharing this page with your gamer friends to let them know about Fate of the World.
