    Wind turbines are build in the middle of nowhere because the wind conditions are best there. Wind conditions in the built environment are in contrast very poor: the average wind speed is low and the wind is turbulent. It has been shown over and over again that the yields of small urban wind turbines are extremely low. In many cases the generated electrical energy does not even cover the embedded energy.

    Sorry to break the dream, but large scale rural wind is the only way to go.

    It’s an interesting idea and It completely astonished me with this stylish style as a wind turbine but, as a question, has it ever been manufactured even as a test model?
